PARF & COE rebate calculator

What you would get back if you deregistered your car instead of renewing the COE. Covers all three of LTA's PARF schedules, including the Budget 2026 change.

Your car
The PARF schedule follows the COE's bidding exercise. Leave it on automatic unless the car was registered between February and August 2023 or 2026.

How the PARF rebate is worked out

The PARF rebate is a percentage of the Additional Registration Fee (ARF) paid when the car was first registered. The percentage depends on the car's age on the day you deregister it and on which schedule applies to its COE. The schedule follows the bidding exercise the COE came from, not the registration date, so a car registered between February and August 2023 or 2026 can sit on either side of a change.

How the COE rebate is worked out

The COE rebate pays back the unused part of the COE: the premium you paid, times the months left, divided by the months in the COE term (120 for a 10-year COE, 60 for a 5-year renewal). LTA counts whole months and then any leftover days at 30 days to a month. This calculator works in whole months, so treat the result as an estimate.

Your ARF and the COE premium you paid are both in your vehicle details on OneMotoring.

What renewing does to your rebates

A renewed car will be over 10 years old whenever it is deregistered, so the PARF rebate goes. Besides the PQP, that is the main thing renewing costs you. If you deregister a renewed car before the renewed COE runs out, the COE rebate is worked out on the PQP you paid for the renewal. Tick "already renewed" above to see that figure.

To weigh the rebate against keeping the car, try the renew or replace calculator or read PARF and COE rebates, explained.

Questions

A share of the ARF you paid, set by the car's age when you deregister it and by the schedule that applies to its COE. For most cars coming up to renewal now, registered around 2016, it is 50% of ARF between 9 and 10 years old, with no cap.
Yes, in effect. Whenever a renewed car is eventually deregistered it will be over 10 years old, and cars over 10 years get no PARF rebate.
No. PARF and COE rebates are only paid if the car is deregistered before its COE expires.
For cars with COEs from the second February 2026 bidding exercise onwards, the PARF rebate is 30% to 5% of ARF, capped at $30,000. Cars with older COEs keep the schedule they were registered under.
Both are in your vehicle details on OneMotoring, and on the log card. OneMotoring also has a rebate enquiry service that shows your own figure.
