COE PQP today:
this month's renewal price

The number you pay to renew changes every month. This page reads LTA's published bidding results directly, so the figures below are this month's — not a snapshot from whenever the page was written.

This month's COE renewal price

These are the July 2026 Prevailing Quota Premiums — what LTA charges to renew a COE this month, by category. Every owner in the same category pays the same figure regardless of the vehicle.

Category10-year renewal5-year renewal
Cat Acars up to 1,600cc & 130bhp$123,314$61,657
Cat Blarger or more powerful cars$124,705$62,353
Cat Cgoods vehicles & buses$88,368$44,184
Cat Dmotorcycles$9,737$4,869

A 5-year renewal costs exactly half the 10-year figure. For Cat A, B and D that halved option can be taken once only — when the five years end the vehicle must be deregistered. Cat C can repeat 5-year renewals up to its statutory lifespan.

Read this before you plan around the number

These mirror LTA's published data, but the authoritative figure for your vehicle is on OneMotoring under "Enquire PQP Rate to Renew COE". One useful rule: you may renew at the PQP of your expiry month or an earlier month — so in a rising market, renewing early locks the lower rate.

What the latest bidding round did

The PQP is an average, so it never matches the headline. Here is the most recent single result — July 2026, 1st bidding — which is the figure the news reports and the one that feeds into next month's average:

CategoryLatest quota premium
Cat A$129,000
Cat B$130,889
Cat C$95,000
Cat D$10,201

The gap between those two tables is the whole story. Cat A's latest result came in at +$5,686 above the PQP you'd pay this month. When the latest result sits above the average, the average has further to travel in that direction — so renewal prices are set to rise over the coming months, not because anything new happens, but because the arithmetic hasn't finished catching up.

That lag is the single most useful thing to understand about renewal pricing, and it's why the headline COE number is never the number you pay. The PQP guide works through the calculation in full.

The last six months at a glance

Monthly average quota premium, Cat A and Cat B. These are the results that roll into the PQP three months at a time — so this table is effectively a preview of where the renewal price has been heading.

MonthCat ACat BCat A change
February 2026$106,411$107,946
March 2026$110,055$114,785▲ $3,644
April 2026$120,505$121,001▲ $10,450

June 2026$124,928$125,246▲ $418
July 2026$129,000$130,889▲ $4,072

Read the direction, not any single row. One result tells you very little — COE bidding is noisy and a quiet fortnight can swing a category by thousands. Three consecutive months moving the same way is a trend, and a trend is what actually shows up in your renewal price.

What this month's PQP costs as a monthly payment

Almost nobody writes a six-figure cheque for a renewal. Financed at $0 down over the full term, this month's figures come out at:

5-year renewal10-year renewal
Cat A~$1,161/mth~$1,333/mth
Cat B~$1,174/mth~$1,348/mth

Each figure spreads the loan over the full renewal term — five years on a 5-year renewal, ten on a 10-year one. A shorter tenure raises the monthly and lowers the total; the calculator below lets you move it. What you can't do is stretch a loan past the renewal term itself.

Worth knowing: renewals are exempt from the MAS caps that limit new-car loans to 60–70% of value, which is why $0 downpayment is standard here and effectively unavailable on a new car. The renewal loans guide covers the rates and the flat-rate arithmetic.

Where the PQP goes next

Because the PQP averages three known months, next month's figure is largely visible before it's published. On the results in so far, Cat A is tracking toward roughly $126,000 — about +$2,261 higher than this month, which would move a fully-financed 10-year renewal to around ~$1,358/month.

Treat that as a projection, not a price

It's built from the exercises already concluded. A bidding round still to come can move it, and next month's PQP is only fixed once the second exercise of this month closes. It's a good guide to direction and a poor basis for cutting a deadline fine.

If your COE expires in the next few months and the trend is upward, the timing rule matters: renewing at an earlier month's PQP is permitted, so there is a real, legitimate saving in not waiting. If the trend has turned down, the same rule works the other way and patience pays. Either way it's worth a look at the table above before you pick a date.

How to check the exact figure for your vehicle

Three steps, about five minutes:

01
Log in to OneMotoring with Singpass

Your vehicle and its COE expiry date are already there — no need to dig out the log card.

02
Open "Enquire PQP Rate to Renew COE"

Enter your plate. It returns the exact PQP for your category and your expiry month, which is the figure LTA will charge.

03
Check road tax and outstanding fines

Both need to be clear before renewal goes through. Easy to fix early, an unwelcome surprise in your last week.

If you have not renewed before, the full step-by-step guide covers eligibility, the deadline and how to pay. Once you have the number, the remaining question is what it costs you a month and whether renewing beats the alternatives. Work the monthly out with the calculator below — or tell us your car and we'll come back the same day with your exact figure, your rebate position, and the perks you qualify for.
