#ForTheDrivers
Lotus has created something equal parts special and exciting. The final hurrah before an all-electric future, the Emira – a new petrol sports car in this new age is a sight to behold. You can order your Emira for 2022 with Meyer Motors.
The Emira looks unlike anything else. Likened to a baby supercar, the design ideology was not only to create something stunning but to elevate the brand driving experience.
Each sweep and curve is drafted to increase downforce, improve aerodynamics, and boost engine performance.
The result: something not only beautiful to look at but its a driver’s car too. Trust us when we say we’re equally as excited as you about this marvel.
Like No Other Lotus
Comfortable and contemporary. Words you wouldn’t normally associate with Lotus. The Emira was conceptualized as a daily sports car from the beginning.
Creature comforts such as Apple Carplay and electric seats add a touch of modernity. While the increase in storage space (208l and 151l) makes it all the more practical.
Whether you intend to take it to the office, or for a day on the track – you can be assured that the Emira will deliver and more.
Engine and Transmission
A 3.5L V6 or the most powerful 4-cyl turbo engine in the world? There will be a host of configurations and transmission options, one thing is for sure – it’s pretty damn hard to choose a bad configuration.
Current expected date for the first cars to arrive at Meyer Motors is March 2022 in the UK. Thereafter it is a 3 to 4 month import process before it reaches you.
Pre-orders are now open for those wishing to secure themselves a build slot for an Emira delivered in 2022.
We expect to see more i4 engines in Singapore with the V6 engine appealing to collectors and existing Lotus owners
Power figures aren’t finalized yet (we suspect due to emissions and regulations), Lotus says power output will be between 360 and 400bhp at launch.
0-100 in less than 4.5s and top speeds of 290km/h and torque of 430Nm.
The car will have hydraulic steering to maintain the excellent feedback Lotus cars are known for.
All wheels & tyres will be 20 inches in diameter front and rear.
As standard they will be fitted with a Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tyre, while a Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 is a cost option available in conjunction with the Lotus Drivers Pack.
Both tyres have been specially developed for the Emira by their manufacturer.
Specifications and pricing is currently being finalised, leave your details here to find out more.
The Emira is built on a new Lotus Sports Car Architecture and does not use the Evora or Exige chassis but it does have a bond aluminium chassis as in the Elise.
The Emira has a wider track than any recent Lotus car and a noticeably heavier kerb weight. This helps enhance stability, delivering more downforce and a sensation of a lower CG.
The car has two chassis and suspension settings:
Tour – everyday road use.
Sports – available with the optional Lotus Drivers Pack, it provides a stiffer suspension set-up for dynamic capability and feel.
Impressively, the Emira boasts many standard options that other makers have considered optional (looking at you Mercedes-Benz and Porsche):
The Emira will have 208l of cabin space behind the two seats – suitable for luggage or larger items.
The boot space (151l) will take a ‘standard flight case’ or a set of golf clubs.
It has central cup holders with a phone storage slot between them, and door bins that accommodate a 500ml bottle.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) available on the Emira include adaptive cruise control, anti-collision system, fatigue alert, road sign information, vehicle speed limiter, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist.
